Putting Your Organisation Above the Rest

A brand is the portrayal of a company. In many cases it can act as a first impression to potential customers. How a brand is perceived is integral to its success of your organisation.

Brand identity is the means through which a brand is portrayed. A brand identity seamlessly unifies all elements of an organisation under one umbrella and accounts for the consumers’ experience with your company. Effective brand identity sets you apart from your competitors. This can be achieved through close consideration of the following 9 factors.

The Ugly Side of SEO Part Deux

(Previous post here.)

That brilliant piece by David Segal at the NYTimes has stirred quite a reaction within SEO blogs.

The leading post seems to be a blog article by Danny Sullivan, who was cited in the Times piece. It's worth a read.

Why @Optus has its Online Engagement right?

For those of you who read yesterday&#039;s piece &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.smh.com.au/business/brands-loosen-grip-on-social-media-20100902-14rsu.html&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&quot;Brands loosen grip on social media&quot; in the Sydney Morning Herald&lt;/a&gt;, you would have read about the debate on who should control an organisation&#039;s social media message – the organisation itself or an agency who you can outsource to.

Organisations who are unsure about how they should engage people online need to know this: social media, like a lot of other media is simply a means of communication. Public Relations and Search Engine Optimisation

Years ago, if you asked an SEO expert for advice on how to move your website up the Google ranks, they would probably stuff your site with keywords in the keyword and description meta tags, build a repertoire of inbound links from spammy sites and advise you on content changes that make your website look like a <a href="http://www.wordle.net/">word cloud</a> than anything remotely informative.

But while we grow, we want to give back. This blog is one of those ways where our team will post regularly to talk about something interesting they came across recently or something we can share so that you don’t make the same mistakes again.
