Head Of Strategy

This is a trail-blazing role, that will be a key hire for us. As Head of Strategy, you will be at the centre of our growing business in planning and strategising for our clients. Not only will you help oversee new business and pitching, but also be responsible for shaping our Australia business. This role will be based in Sydney and focus on the Australia and New Zealand regions’s business. Upon showcasing competitive growth for the first year within the region, you would lead in to the head of strategy for APAC.This role will include:

  • Understanding the client, their industry (mostly B2B, B2B2C), issues relating to their products, categories, technologies and competition. More generally you will need to know what their goals are and how we can help them achieve those
  • Build strong relationships with the client and create the right strategy to deliver an ROI on their needs
  • Manage and build capacity of a team of people spread out across geographies across a range of skill sets including content, social media, search and mobile
  • Manage and oversee outcomes where relevant
  • Help direct strategy and manage execution around digital marketing and platforms across geographies
  • Help Langoor grow through digital marketing initiatives for its own core business

For you to be successful you will need:

  • In depth understanding of the online and mobile mediums – especially SEO, SEM, retargeting, content seeding, social media and online advertising
  • In depth understanding of conversion optimisation and marketing automation
  • Should have been involved in the digital strategy of different organisations for at least 3 years
  • Have experience managing teams of at least 5-10 people
  • Having worked with an agency is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

If you had been here for the last 6 months you would have:

  • Helped pitch for a client’s digital account and post the win supported the launch of their website, overseen setup of their Facebook page, created their content and acquisition strategy
  • Provide an oversight of their search engine optimisation including manage the program of execution with the right skill sets
  • You would have worked with the Account Director closely to help manage the client, managing expectations, set goals and provide verbal and written reports
  • You would have helped make recommendations based on the reports
  • Created a strategy on copywriting for a client using keyword research, including sourcing freelancers to support our operations
  • Evaluated new opportunities, including recommending mobile apps, potential events and helped grow an account
  • Helped clean process of communication with the client through internal staff changes. You would have used that opportunity to improve our processes as well
  • Helped create and optimise landing pages for a Langoor campaign for our own advertising, including liaising with LinkedIn to provide them with targeting information and optimising it

You will be based in Sydney, Australia reporting to our SVP of ANZ region, and shall also work closely with out CEO based out of India.
